In 2002, according to George Barna, only 23 percent of Christians shared their faith.
The Church is rapidly losing its influence because many Christians have never learned how to share their faith in a relevant, effective way.
EVANGELISM
To prepare you for a lifetime of ministry, you will be taught how to communicate the Gospel in our post-modern culture.
You will gain hands-on experience as you do lifestyle evangelism at local universities, teen centers, pregnancy centers, prison ministry, homeless shelters, homes for the elderly, boys. and girls. homes, and other local church related ministries.
LEADERSHIP TRAINING
The Deans Department organizes the Student Training Program, which is designed to prepare students for leadership in specific areas of service at NTBI.
We believe God's Word instructs believers that leaders are to disciple potential leaders (2 Timothy 2:2). NTBI implements this principle by personally inviting upperclassmen that manifest leadership qualities and desire to participate in this program.
A 10-day program trains student leaders in their respective roles.
MISSION TRIPS
We live in a rapidly changing world yet one thing remains the same. Many ethnic groups around the world remain outside of the reach of the gospel. Out of 10,000 unreached people groups, 4,000 are isolated tribal groups representing the least evangelized areas of the world.
If you are considering missions or wondering where you fit in, we strongly encourage you to experience a cross-cultural missions trip. You will see firsthand what you are being taught in the classroom and how it is applied overseas. You will also earn 2-4 credits towards your diploma.
