Jesus Christ is flourishing in Mozambique. As field chairman for NTM Mozambique, DJ Morrison sees where God is growing the hearts and churches of the Mozambicans throughout the region.

At an annual pastors' conference, "We were able to meet many new Mozambican pastors as well as deepen relationships with those that we already know," DJ wrote. "This conference really helped in the relationship aspect of our field's national church focus."

NTM is all about planting churches in unreached people groups, and DJ has a desire to pass this purpose on to the existing church in Mozambique. An opportunity such as the conference for pastors is a great place to further facilitate the need for church planting not only in unreached people groups, but in reached ones as well.

DJ reports that the team for the Lolo tribe is to start teaching in September. "This is very exciting for us as it will be our first work that has gotten to this point. Please be praying for the Lolo people for prepared hearts and minds to receive the teaching of God's Word in their language."

Matt and Debi Zook, along with Arnie Johnson, are preparing to teach the Lolos. Matt has also been hard at work on translating portions of the Old Testament and parts of the Gospels. His wife Debi, and Arnie, are still learning the language.

In mid-September, DJ plans to survey the Tawara people and will be doing a socio-linguistic study on the people group as well as looking at whether or not a church exists in the area.

"From what we understand of this group, it is a good 'candidate' for us to work with in the future," DJ wrote.

DJ asks for prayer in continued wisdom and growth among the missionaries in Mozambique. "Pray that we will be known as individuals, families and teams that love the Lord Jesus and His church as He does."
