Missionaries Anthony and Jennie Chee are making a lot of ministry progress in Mozambique.

They've just moved into their house in the village, much to the delight of their daughters. "Thank you all for praying, giving and encouraging us in this challenging and sometimes seemingly overwhelming task," they wrote. Beyond making their daughters happy, this means that they can live closer to the Yao people among whom they work, making it easier to learn the culture and language.

Earlier this month the Chees built relationships with and helped out the villagers by transporting corn to protect it from thieves.

"Many of these fields have dirt paths that [are] passable on foot or on bicycle but definitely not for a vehicle," Anthony wrote. "So they have to enlarge the foot path, cut down trees and dig out tree stumps to make a relatively passable track before our truck can pass. We can say that our truck has literally gone places no other truck has gone before!"

Now the Chee family is attending a workshop on translation for the next two weeks. They are learning about methods for translating the Bible in preparation for when they know the language well enough to begin.

They look forward to December, when missionaries Alfred and Belinda Paetzold will be joining the team. More teammates means the work can be more easily double-checked, and they're a source of emotional and faith support.

Please pray that Anthony and Jennie learn and retain much of what goes on at the conference, and that the Paetzolds will arrive without complications.
