The missionary team working among the Lavongai tribal people in Papua New Guinea have some specific prayer requests.

When they arrived back in the tribe after a short absence, Deanne Ebersole wrote, "It felt a bit like moving through a time warp! Wade immediately picked up his teaching schedule on Tuesday nights with the believers and Thursday teaching evangelistic lessons."

Concerning the Tuesday meetings Wade asks for prayer that the believers will be grounded in their understanding of grace in regard to their eternal salvation and their daily walk. Many seem to believe that their acceptance is based on performance. Wade will be teaching on grace for several weeks and asks prayer that hearts will be open to understanding this truth.

Wade will soon begin teaching the life of Christ to those attending the evangelistic lessons. The team is asking prayer for continued good attendance and good response to each lesson.

Missionary Sarah Pauli is translating God's Word into the Lavongai language. She needs more Lavongai coworkers to help her in the office. Pray that God will bring those who are especially gifted in Bible translation to help Sarah.

Missionaries Jon and Janet Mitchell have joined the team ministering to the Lavongais and are currently studying the culture and language and building solid relationships with the people. Pray that they will continue to make steady progress in their studies.
