The Chimane church in Bolivia is thriving in the hands of the Chimanes whom God has raised up as leaders.

Four NTM missionaries visited this month to see how they could help and to encourage the church leaders. They came away encouraged themselves.

Todd Comstock, Mike Grant, Dwight Brown and Rich Perik met with Adrian, Rosuaro and Sandario.

These men are running a radio station that broadcasts Bible teaching in the Chimane language for several hours each day. The local community of believers is now financially helping the radio station and has many stories of God's provision.

They said one man even came to the radio station with a big handful of coins to do his part in supporting the radio ministry.

The leaders are also burdened with reaching neighboring villages with the gospel. They have been praying for one village for more than 20 years and hadn't seen any answers to their prayers until recently. For the past 20 years, the people rejected the Word.

Then just this past month, a man named Marcelino got saved and now there are ten believers who gather together to worship, pray and listen to Bible teachings.

Also, twice a month, two of the guys have been traveling to another village to teach evangelistic Bible lessons. About 60 people from four different villages come to hear the teaching.

The men told the missionaries that teaching chronologically really helps the people understand what is being taught. Rosuaro said that Alberto at first did not understand the Word of God but now, listening to the teaching in chronological format, he is growing and he is learning.

Please pray for the Chimane church leaders. Pray that they stay encouraged and focused on building good relationships and not just getting a task done.

Also, there are pressures to use the radio station for political purposes. Pray that the men would have the strength to stand and choose to use it only for the purposes it was built, preaching the Word. The missionary team has planned their next visit for late July. Pray that God would prepare hearts for this next visit.
