School break has not been much of a break for David and Angie Kern.
"We have been kept quite busy," wrote the couple, who serve at a school for missionaries' children in Brazil.
Several of their co-workers at the school this past year were associate missionaries whose term of service was over, so they have returned to the USA. Associates serve six months to four years.
And many of the career missionaries who serve with the Kerns are on home assignment, catching up with their teammates in the USA and finding new teammates.
But one job that kept the Kerns busy was also a huge blessing. A group of eight young people who came down from Missouri to work -- and work they did.
"Both the elementary school and high school were painted outside, and the elementary school was almost all painted inside," the couple wrote.
David worked with them each day, and felt blessed to be able to.
"We are very grateful for the Missouri group's help," the Kerns wrote.
