The Pai Tavy Tera believers in Paraguay decided to begin their Easter celebrations on Thursday of last week.

They met together for a special meeting and fellowship time. Some of the women baked chipa a, Paraguayan cheesy bread made from manioc starch, which is traditionally eaten on Easter.

They served punch and chipa before the meeting and then sang songs and gave testimonies. Several Pai children quoted memorized Scripture verses. Rueben, one of the Pai Bible teachers, spoke about the meaning of Easter. On Friday, the believers enjoyed an informal soccer tournament.

Easter Sunday morning the believers had yet another meeting. This time Pai believer Mareco read a passage of Scripture about the resurrection of Christ.

Regular Bible classes continue to take place on a weekly basis among the Pais. Missionary Wes Goddard co-teaches three classes with Pai Bible teachers. Some of the Pai teachers travel a considerable distance each week to teach evangelistic Bible lessons in another village. This group will be hearing the death burial and resurrection of Christ next month.

Pray for the Pai Bible teachers as they reach out to others with the Gospel message. Pray also for Wes as he shepherds and ministers to Pai believers.
