The Banwaon people of the Philippines will soon have 30 percent of the New Testament translated into their own language.

Two of NTM's translation consultants recently flew into the tribe and worked with two Banwaon language helpers and missionary Albert Castelijn to thoroughly examine the translation of the book of Acts.

For eight days they looked over the text to make sure it was translated effectively.

"Much was learned through this check," wrote Lynne Castelijn, Albert's wife. "Albert is currently working on implementing the necessary revisions and changes which will make the book even more understandable to the Banwaon believers.

"When complete, this means that 30 percent of the New Testament in the Banwaon language is fully checked. Praise God with us for His faithful enabling."

"As we've mentioned before, the church here is strong and we are encouraged time and again as we see the maturity of the believers and the way they are reaching out farther and farther afield. The main pressing need here is the completion of the New Testament scriptures.

"Please pray with us as we press on to this goal."
