Dee and Shy, Prai believers in Thailand, travel to another village twice a week to teach evangelistic Bible lessons.
The couple was invited to come and teach by a family who came into contact with believers from yet another Prai village. Excessive drinking, especially by teenagers, is common in the village and it is a dark and wild place. The literacy rate is very low because there was not a school in the area until ten years ago.
This is the third attempt to reach this particular village. Pray that Dee and Shy remain faithful to the task and that the hearts of the villagers are softened to desire God's Word.
Dee and Shy have been teaching since February of this year, but the numbers have dwindled. However, Uncle Come, his wife,Kai, and daughter, Toy, have all eagerly embraced the Gospel and want to learn more. Pray that they will be able to share the Good News with their neighbors. Two young men, both named Lot, come to the Bible lessons.
One man had his hearing restored in a miraculous way and immediately burned his spirit shelf. However, when relatives became sick the villagers blamed his family for listening to God's Word. Now, they have turned away because of this censure.
Pray for Dee and Shy as they shine the light of God's Word into the spiritual darkness of this village
