How long is the Course?
The church planting track is three semesters (one and a half years). Some students will take the support track, which is two semesters (one year).
Each semester is 18 weeks long.
Are there any holidays during the semesters?
In each fall semester, Labor Day and the Thursday and Friday of Thanksgiving weekend are holidays.
In each spring semester, Presidents' Day and the Thursday before and Monday after Easter are holidays.
What's the daily schedule?
Structured classes run from 8 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday. Childcare is provided 9 a.m. to noon.
From 1:30 to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, various activities take place, including classes, personal development, community outreach and campus ministries.
What about working off campus?
Due to the specialized nature of the training
program, full-time outside jobs are not
an option. Occasionally, part time jobs may be
considered after consulting with your faculty
advisor.
How does the childcare program function?
The childcare program is an onsite program that is a cooperative effort between permanent training center childcare workers and all student moms. As the training is designed for both husbands and wives, childcare is provided during the hours when mothers are required to be in class.
Will I need any special equipment?
Yes! Computers are used extensively in the Missionary Training Center course.
One laptop computer is required per student, with an additional computer required for the spouse.
