THE BEST RESPONSE

Everyone in the Hattingh car is still, apart from choking on the dust along the road. Their skin is sticky on the seats. The African sun is not kind as the kids fidget under its overbearing rays.
But the drive doesn't stay unbearable for long.
Sounding out from the spurts of coughing and the hum of the motor, Waldo begins to sing:
Who is the King of the jungle? Waka-Waka! Who is the King of the sea? Bubble-bubble. Who is the King of the universe? And who is the King of me?I will tell you! J-E-S-U-S! Jesus! He is the King of all.
Missionaries Francois and Nadia Hattingh can't help but smile as they hear Waldo, their young son, sing praises to God.
"Waldo's singing made us think about our own reflex response during difficult times," Francois wrote. "[Response] is a choice and indeed will determine if we experience our King's peace and joy, or if we kick against the very trials that can form us more into His image."
