At the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, in 2000, Kelly and I bumped into each other for the first time.  We instantly became great friends.  I was attracted to her from the very beginning, but played it cool so that she would have no idea.  Secretly I began to plan activities for the two of us where other friends were invited along, but at the last minute would drop out.  Conveniently we would be stuck alone giving me time to get to know her.

Mike and I would go to study with friends at a large downtown library in Chicago. I always though that it was so strange why our friends never showed up to study with us. I would arrive, get my books out and begin to study. Mike usually got his books out, but could never concentrate long enough to get any studying done. I couldn't understand how a library could be such a distracting place. One day, as we were walking the forty-five minutes back to campus, I asked Mike what topic he had chosen to write on for a large paper coming up.

This must be God's timing I thought.  I had been praying for His guidance and this just had to be the His timing.  How could Kelly have known that I was writing my paper on Courtship!  I took a few minutes to compose myself and then started to speak.  Judging by Kelly's expression, whatever came out of my mouth obviously didn't make any sense at all.  I had just asked her to date me...how could there be any confusion?

What did I just hear?  I thought we were talking about homework.  I thought he had "kissed dating goodbye"!  I had been dreaming about him asking this for the whole past semester.  "Of course I will date you", I said!

We were married September 24, 2005 in Baltimore, MD and just love being together.

The most recent addition to our family is Noah McGregor born October 2007.

We are both so thankful to have been raised in Christian homes with families who loved and served God.  They have encouraged, supported and sacrificed a lot for us to be where we are today.
