Matt
I was born and raised in Southern California. During my childhood I was blessed with Christian parents who provided me with a living testimony of God’s love and character. From a young age I could easily recognize the tremendous blessing and advantage it was to know Jesus as my personal savior and to have the truths of God’s Word so clearly exhibited in my life.
After graduating high school I began thinking a lot about what God’s plan for my life might be. After much prayer, I realized that God was calling me to be an overseas missionary. I believe that as I sought the Lord’s will, He led me to join a missions organization called New Tribes Mission. I moved to Michigan and began taking Bible courses at New Tribes Bible Institute, where I met my wife, Rachel.
I believe that God has steadily confirmed His Spirit’s leading in my life. Now I am even more excited to share the same awesome free gift of salvation that He has blessed me with to those who have never had the opportunity to hear it.

I grew up in a small rural town in central Michigan. While growing up I was able to meet many different missionaries that spoke in our church. I was always interested in missions, but it was in junior high that I first felt the Lord prompting me to become personally involved in missions. The summer before my senior year in high school I went on a missions trip to Eastern Europe. It was a life-changing experience for me. It was challenging in many ways. I learned how to step out of my comfort zone and trust the Lord to use me in ways that I never imagined. I began to realize how many people have never had the opportunity to hear the Gospel. I knew then that the Lord was calling me into full time missions.
After high school, I attended New Tribes Bible Institute in Jackson, Michigan. It was there that I met my husband, Matt, who also shared the same passion to take the good news of the Gospel where it has never been heard.
