STUDYING LANGUAGE THANKING THE LORD...

Our new motorcycle

Our new motorcycle

May 11, 2008

by Lawrence

Our primary focus while here in Central Java is studying the Indonesian language and culture.  Along with this comes getting accustomed to living here, dealing with people, and moving around the neighborhood, city, and area.  Now that we have started formal language study, we stay very busy.  Jodie and I are only one week away from finishing Unit one (of  nine).  Sarah and Seth have about one and a half weeks left.  Whew - time flies!

One of our prayers has been for at least one motorcycle, preferably two.  This cuts down on the time required to "shop" and make a quick "pick-up."  Not to mention, being able to take the kids over to friends house or pick them up quickly (or after dark)!  The through the generosity of our home church, we have been able to purchase one of those motorcycles.  Yipee. We are thanking the Lord for this provision!
