Part Two: You brought a hippo?

How much can you remember from Part Two of the story Abeedou's Secret? Find out by trying to pick the right answers to the questions below. Think hard!

	Let's start with some of the Malinké words you have learned. You did learn some, didn't you? 1. Mung mu minti means: "Where is it?" "What is it?" "My breath is minty fresh!" "May I have a mint?"
	*2. Malo* means:** Volkswagen. Hippo or bread, depending on how you say it. Rice or hippo, depending on how you say it. Rice or slice, depending on how you say it.
	*3. N toxo Abeedou* means:** "Abeedou is my friend." "You are Abeedou." "My name is Abeedou." "I don't speak Malinké."
	4. Why did the men want to learn Malinké? So they could find out where the bathroom is. So they could teach God's Word in a way the Malinké people understood. So they could get a linguistics research grant. So they could impress people in churches back home.
	5. What languages does Abeedou speak? Malinké and English Spanish and English Malinké and French Malinké and Spanish
	6. What did the men help the villagers plant? Rice and peanuts Rice and hippos Rice and peas Rice and more rice
	7. Why did Abeedou want the men to hurry and teach? He was getting tired of them asking questions. He wanted Grandmother to hear. He wanted to hear them talking like babies. He wanted a hippo.
	8. Why did Abeedou often want to laugh at the men? They said funny things. They dressed like clowns. They talked like hippos. They told funny jokes.
	9. Paulu wrote down everything, but to Abeedou it looked like: French Greek Hen scratching Hippos
