Okay, maybe our house doesn't look quite as bad as the victims of Katrina and I sure wouldn't want to minimize the horrible state that so many people went through after Katrina blew threw. But after being away from our house for 2 years I wasn't really sure what it would look like. Its really amazing the things cockroaches can eat through! Toothpaste, soap boxes, plastic lids and that's only to name a few! Praise God it didn't appear that the rats came inside and destroyed too much of our belongings! The dust really didn't even seem like dust; more like a fine grain of sand all over everything.
All in all though we really have nothing to be upset about. God was extremely good to us and allowed our house to only have minor repairs such as a little pipe here and some screen wire there. We are in the process of giving our house a very nice "facelift". I will give an update later once the operation is complete! |
