"The king shall have joy in Your strength, O Lord; and in your salvation how greatly shall he rejoice! You have given him his heart's desire, and have not withheld the request of his lips. Selah."
As a third and final break during the six months of our time in Alaska, Jason had the chance to go Alaskan Salmon fishing with a friend, Tim.
They drove to Chitna and camped out in a tent.
Even though they ran into some rain, they played on four wheelers and had a full day to fish for those Salmon.
They went deep net fishing and were quite successful.
Together they caught 37 fish, all Salmon.
Honestly, Salmon are pretty ugly. Jason came home, filleted all of the fish, and we ended up having over 55 pounds. What a blessing it is to have wonderful food to enjoy in Arizona, where fish are no where to be found!
Here are just some other photos that Jason took. Some of them are so wonderful and really capture Alaskan beauty.
