Lauje tribe, Indonesia (October 13th, 2009): Two Lauje believers are hiking and busing more than 21 hours to meet with Barrie Williamson to put the finishing touches on the Lauje New Testament. Please pray for their safety in travels and that the team’s work can be ready for publishing by the end of this year.

Dao tribe, Indonesia (September 25th, 2009): Wikipai became seriously ill in the distant village where he was sharing God’s Word. Pray for his recovery and for Daapoi as he takes Wikipai’s place. Find out more -- read the story >>

 

Wano tribe, Indonesia (September 24th, 2009): Literacy materials will be printed next month and a class to teach the Wano people to read and write will start shortly after. Please pray that the Wanos will be good students and that God will prepare their hearts to receive His Word.

 

Indonesia (September 21st, 2009): Four families are scheduled to move to Indonesia in November to begin ministries. Please pray that in their remaining days in their home countries they will be able to build up their support teams and take care of all the moving details.

 

Sekadau tribe, Indonesia (September 15th, 2009): Missionary Naomi Christenson has reached stage two of four in her comprehension of Sekadau culture and language, with the normal flubs that come from such an exam like asking where someone’s rice field went, as if it could get up and leave. She and her co-worker Cori Gervasi should be done with culture and language study in 15 months and be ready to start translating the Bible. Please pray that they’ll learn quickly and retain what they learn.

 

Moi tribe, Indonesia (September 4th, 2009): The Gospel is taking hold in many Moi people, but others have a long way to go. Please pray that the message of salvation will bring tenderness and compassion in a people who are used to coldness and little emotion. Find out more -- read the story >>

 

Indonesia (September 3rd, 2009): Missionaries Ping and Heidi Leong are part of a team that is forming to work among the Saluan people. "This potential team includes a local Indonesian family, an experienced American missionary couple, a tough farm girl from Switzerland and a worried city boy from Singapore," the Leongs wrote. Please pray for team unity and direction.

Dao tribe, Indonesia (August 4th, 2009): The Dao church is sending two Dao Bible teachers and their families to share God’s Word in a large Dao village more than a day’s hike away. Indonesia (July 30th, 2009): The missionary training center for Indonesians now has 42 students, some from tribal churches. Pray that they will be prepared and equipped to establish mature churches among unreached people groups. Find out more -- read the story >>

 

Indonesia (July 28th, 2009): Praise God that missionary pilot Steffan Pyle has completed his training to fly the Jet Ranger helicopter and can provide flight service that has been sorely missed. Find out more -- read the story >>

Indonesia (July 2nd, 2009): While learning to laugh at their language bloopers, missionaries Nathan an LaNada Tag are building good relationships among their Indonesian neighbors.
