Psalm 18:48

A FUN TIME OF LEARNING

NEWS

Fellowship is wonderful.

July 2, 2007

by Jackie Fallis

Missionaries Belinda Moffit and Debbie Howells joined 78 tribal women from three areas for a beach retreat centered on learning God's Word.

Thirty-three of the tribal women came with Belinda and Debbie on a four-hour jeep and bus ride to the beach. Another 35 came from a neighboring area, and ten came even farther from a third people group. They all traveled to be taught God's Word in their heart language.

The women enjoyed a break from families, farms and everyday struggles to learn more about God. One woman said the retreat was "just like heaven!"

They stayed up all night laughing and talking about the things God was teaching them, and ate so much good food that half of them went home with stomach aches.

Please pray that what the women learned at the retreat will stay with them and help them grow in the Lord.
