"The king shall have joy in Your strength, O Lord; and in your salvation how greatly shall he rejoice! You have given him his heart's desire, and have not withheld the request of his lips. Selah."
Jane Cutab has wanted to be a missionary for a long time. When she met missionaries Paul and Debbie Howells ministering among the Higaunon people in the Philippines, she knew that she'd found the ministry God had prepared for her.
Jane had been working for six years as an administrator at a school run by a friend of the Howells. Knowing the Howells' need for someone to teach their son Jubab and Jane's keen desire to serve as a missionary, he introduced them.
"By April 4 Jane was settled into her new home here and she took over teaching grade four to Jubab from me and I was able to step back into my office and back into my work on the translation team. We have been making great progress since then on the translation and can only thank the Lord every single day for Jane and the vital part she has in making the Scriptures available to our Tala-Andig and Higaunon brothers and sisters in their own language," wrote Debbie.
Pray for Jane as she teaches Jubab and adjusts to her new home in the village. Pray for Paul and Debbie as they minister to the Higaunon people.
