Daily Scripture

"Oh, love the Lord, all you His saints! For the Lord preserves the faithful, and fully repays the proud person."

Psalm 31:23

SCRIPTURE GETS TEACHER BACK ON TRACK

September 8, 2003

The Lord used Scripture read on a radio program to convict a Chimane Bible teacher, Pastor Rocha, who has fallen away from the Lord.

Pastor repented of his sins because Scriptures say he will stand before God and give an account for the way he lived. He confessed his sin and apologized in public for criticizing missionaries Dan and Judy Burke. Pastor wants to teach God's Word again.

"We rejoiced to see God's hand at work so clearly and we are excited about what He will be doing here," Judy wrote.

The Burkes were ministering in Horeb and returned to their home in July. The church is meeting four times a week after failing to meet for three months. Dan plans to begin meetings for Chimane Bible leaders when a new church building is ready. And Judy recently started a ladies' Bible study.

Pray for Pastor and the Chimane believers to love and obey the Lord.
