DINANGATS HEAR OF RESURRECTION

The Dinangat people are hearing about the resurrection.

May 5, 2008

by Ian Fallis

This evening the Dinangat people of Papua New Guinea will hear about the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Sunday evening our time they heard about Jesus’ death and burial. Can you imagine the impact that had on the Dinangats? For weeks, in lesson after lesson, they heard about the coming Deliverer. Then they heard lesson after lesson about their Deliverer, Jesus. And then … He died?

So today’s lesson will have a huge impact as well. The missionaries will teach them about the resurrection, and explain what it means – that God is completely satisfied with Jesus’ payment for sin.

And that will make Tuesday evening’s lesson important and full of impact as well.

“We will gather everyone back together for one final short wrap-up lesson to show the types of Christ in the some of the Old Testament stories we taught earlier,” wrote Gary and Esther Smith. “We also want to allow time for them to share any testimonies they may want to share.”

Please pray!
