New Tribes Missionary Training Center trains missionaries to minister to a tribal group, learning the culture and language, translating the Bible and teaching evangelistic Bible lessons with the goal of establishing a tribal church. Though the MTC operates at the lowest possible cost, there are still many candidates who need financial help.

The Missouri Baptist Foundation has offered a matching-funds scholarship program. From 2008 to 2012 they will match $.50 on the dollar up to $15,000. The goal for 2008 has been reached; funds are now being sought for 2009's goal.

This fund will begin the process of creating an endowment.
