Feast

Currently we are on a medical furlough. After being on furlough for 5 months, Christine went to the doctor about an unusual inflammation. After a biopsy, the doctor told us the bad news. Cancer. Apparently one in 9 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in North America.

This was definately one of the greatest challenges we have faced yet. Christine was immediately put on chemotherapy. It was a horrible time as the chemo caused her to be very anemic. 4 blood tranfusions later and several trips to the emergency the oncologist told us we were done the chemo.

Chemo leaves your body totally a wreck. It takes time for the body to heal from the damage of conventional cancer treatments.

Christine continued on with radiation treatment. This went quite smoothly but it again takes it toll on the body.

However God has been good to us. He has placed us here back in Canada with our family and home church.
