A TURN OF EVENTS

     After hearing the news of small amounts of cancer still left in Christine’s body, we realized that the doctors or conventional medicine really did not have all the answers. In fact as we have done lots of study into cancer we have found that there are hundreds of alternative treatments to cancer that people have tried. Many treatments are not profitable for Pharmaceutical companies so they do not receive any funding for further research and are not promoted because no one can make money on it. One such study is the study of DCA. Very interesting study which is being done in the University of Alberta. Truth Teller: Petscan

     The latest and greatest machine to scan for cancer is the Petscan. It uses a glucose based radioactive tracer. Cancer is a fast metabolizing growth so it picks up glucose very quickly and that is why petscans are so effective in finding cancer in the body. The Petscan also uses CT scan technology to so that the areas that are picked up with cancer can be spotted in the exact area of the body. CT scans show images of all the organs and bones in the body. It is all very fascinating. I was able to see the CT scan of Christine’s body . It was an amazing to see all the organs, bones revealed in perfect detail.


HOPE: believing that a positive outcome is possible even when there is some evidence to the contrary.

     This type of scan costs lots of money and there is often a long waiting list. We are very fortunate to have been able to receive a petscan considering there are hundreds of people in worse situations than we are in. Well, we got the results of the scan a week or so later. Guess what!!! With confidence and the doctor informed us that they could not find cancer in any organ in her body and they could not conclusively say that there was any cancer left in her breast. The only thing we had done since her last diagnosis was pray and take high dose vitamin C IV.


FAITH: a conviction of things not seen

    During these days and weeks which have now come since we first were diagnosed with cancer, God has impressed upon Christine’s heart that true healing can only come from God himself. In fact, that has set the tone for her from the start. Christine wanted to honor God by coming before him in prayer before seeking medical help. When the church prayed for her she received an assurance from God that she indeed would be made whole again. It is amazing to see how she is doing now. She is gaining her strength back and her hair is coming in curly. We don’t really know if she is cancer free but we do know God always keeps his promises. We are looking at starting radiation in January. Please pray that God will continue to guide us every step of the way.
