As God has led, we have partnered with many other NTM missionaries in Mexico to see indigenous people groups reached with the Gospel and tribal churches established. Our specific roles and involvement have change over the years, and we have enjoyed every aspect of what we do.

Over the years Doug and Melody have served in many areas of support ministry such as  school teachers,  bookkeeper , field secretary and guest home manager. They also sent a few years in a tribal area as church planters.

They are now preparing to move into a new area of ministry: community developement. The primary purpose of community developement is to partner with tribal missionaries to help meet the physical needs of the indigenous people at the same time the gospel is being presented to them. Also, community development would seek to build relationships with people on all levels with the community.

There are at least two branches of community developement. One involves dental, eye and medical clinics and other work projects which would meet the immediate physical needs of the people. The other is micro enterprise which would help provide the community  with skills necessary to meet their economic needs.

Working as part of the of NTM-Mexico support team, they are striving to be a vital part in the evangelism of indigenous tribes in Mexico.
