Missionaries Scott and Rachel Meyer are hoping not to see two of their Indonesian co-workers very soon. The couple returned to Indonesia last week after an extended time in the USA to help Indonesian missionary pilots Yuspiter Yambung and Nomad Nelman and their families. They shepherded the men through aviation training and helped the families adjust to the culture, climate and other lifestyle changes.
Recently the Yambungs and Nelmans moved to the NTM Aviation center in McNeal, Arizona, for tribal missionary flight training and Scott and Rachel were able to resume their ministries in Indonesia.
Yus and Nomad had asked for an extension of their visas so that they could continue their flight training with New Tribes Mission. Originally they heard that both extensions were granted but shortly afterward they discovered that the visa extension expired before the paperwork even arrived.
Pray that the visa extensions for the two Indonesian families will be granted and that they will be able to finish their missionary pilot training. Otherwise they will need to return to Indonesia and begin their visa applications all over again.
Pray also for Scott and Rachel as they help teach and disciple in a local Indonesian church and as Scott resumes his ministry with the NTM's Indonesian leadership team.
