DINANGAT LEADERS WANT BIBLE LESSONS IN JANUARY

Gary, Jeremiah and Ralf met with village leaders to discuss when and where to have the Bible lessons.

November 16, 2007

by Jackie Fallis

Missionaries Ralf and Elisabeth Schlegel are encouraged by signs from the Dinangat people that God is working in their hearts.

The Schlegels met with the Dinangat leaders last week. "We wanted to make them more curious about the Bible teaching, which we would like to start on Jan. 28, 2008. And we wanted to discuss the date and time of the day for that with them," wrote Elisabeth.

The people were excited by the rapidly approaching date, and also with the time the Schlegels were considering.

Elisabeth wrote, "They even said 'Our white skins here know when is a good time for us, because they have lived with us for so long, helped us with our work, have shared our troubles … they know us!'"

The Dinangats' response encouraged Ralf and Elisabeth. "Thank you for your prayers for the preparation of the hearts of the Dinangat!" Elisabeth wrote. "Your prayers are so much better than even German chocolate and German bread."

Please pray that the Dinangats will continue to be open to God's Word.
