PAPUA NEW GUINEA - Ivanga tribe (March 8, 2007)

  • Praise the Lord for the warm reception we received as we settled back into the village and for lots of help and safety in jacking up the house and replacing some posts.
  • Pray for us as we continue on in the translating of Luke and for Shirley as she starts translating Genesis.
  • Pray for the teachers as they teach through the book of Galatians and for the body of believers as they apply it to their lives.
  • Pray for the other maintenance issues around the house: more posts need to be replaced soon and for our main generator, which is at our mission center being looked at by mechanic. Pray that our little backup will continue to run until March.
  • Pray for the Ivanga church to stand firm on the truth of God's Word and to look to Him for strength and encouragement.
  • Pray for the teachers as they teach through Galatians.
  • Pray for our support level to increase.  Our recommended support was recently increased to reflect rising costs, so we are now at about 72% of what is recommended.

Daily Scripture

"The king shall have joy in Your strength, O Lord; and in your salvation how greatly shall he rejoice! You have given him his heart's desire, and have not withheld the request of his lips. Selah."

Psalm 21:1-2
