MISSIONARIES EVACUATE DANGEROUS SITUATION

Jonathan and his Hewa co-workers have been working on Bible translation and lessons.

December 4, 2007

by Jackie Fallis

Danger in the area causes missionaries Jonathan and Susan Kopf to leave Hewa ministry for now.

In the last few years several killings have occurred, and there are now threats of more killings. After a long discussion and consideration, a decision was reached for the family to pull out for safety reasons.

While the Kopfs knew this was coming, there is never a good time for these difficult situations.

Jonathan will return for a short while at least to finish teaching Acts to the Hewa believers.

Please pray that the believers continue to grow, and that God will give clear direction to the Hewa team on how to continue.
