NTM leaders in Mexico, looking to open ministries among the Mexicaneros, Kickapoo and Cora tribes, are trusting God to send laborers.
Last month missionaries visited the Mexicaneros people for the first time and were well received. They met with village leaders and are now waiting for permission to send in a missionary team to begin culture and language acquisition.
Two couples have already committed to beginning this work in a hard-to-reach area and are looking for a third couple to join them.
A survey has been completed among the Cora people and leaders are now waiting for the laborers who will move into this area. There are some in training who have expressed an interest in reaching this tribe.
Missionaries have not yet visited the Kickapoo tribe but want to make a visit soon. This tribe originated in Michigan and over the centuries has migrated to Mexico.
Please pray for laborers who will step out by faith to reach these tribes with the Gospel in their mother tongue.
"One day we desire to see believers [from these tribes] singing praises to the One who created them for worship," wrote missionary Harold Middleton.
