BAGWIDO TEACHING ANTICIPATED

The missionary team and the Bagwido people look forward to the teaching.

August 29, 2007

by Jackie Fallis

Missionaries Brian and Andrea Holmquist spent most of this year steadily finishing up the necessary translation work that they need to begin teaching evangelistic Bible lessons to the Bagwido people of Papua New Guinea.

They are very close to completing this, and Brian already has begun writing the first Bible lessons. "We are planning on starting to teach ...in January 2008," Andrea writes.

The village is full of anticipation about the teaching. Andrea wrote, "We have every indication that the whole village will come to hear God's Word," Andrea wrote. "We do see a genuine excitement that is building both within our own hearts and theirs as we all prepare for the time when we will start the teaching."

Many of the villagers are trying to finish tasks quickly ahead of time so they can attend teaching every day.

Please pray that this excitement continues to build, and that they will be open to the message of salvation.
