When missionaries Jason and Shannon Swanson returned to Papua New Guinea, Tom and Danielle Brendle joined them for a great reunion.
Linda Krieg, formerly a member of the Siawi team but now helping other missionaries with translation techniques, also joined them. Tom and Danielle were able to share stories about how the Siawi believers are progressing.
"The reports out of Siawi are encouraging, as the believers are searching for truth," wrote Linda. "Some [news] was greatly exciting and some was heartbreaking, but through it all, it is obvious that the Lord is working, drawing to Himself those who are His."
Tobias, who as a boy helped Linda around the house, still has an interest in spiritual things. He also has a hunger to understand God's Word and has shown great concern for the Siawi villagers. He is trying to provide a safe water source for the village. "Concern like that is not an attitude displayed by Satan's children but one of God's," Linda wrote.
Tom and Jason are planning to begin teaching God's Word to the Siawi once again. Pray for the believers to learn to walk with God and live lives pleasing to Him. Pray for the Brendle and Swanson families as they once more minister together to the Siawi people.
