TARAHUMARA BELIEVER STANDS STRONG

August 16, 2006

by Dena McMaster

Nacho's life encourages the missionaries ministering among his people, the Tarahumaras in Mexico.

Some of the believers have fallen away from God's truth because of cultural and family pressures. Nacho, however, has stayed true to the faith and desires to learn more about God's Word.

Nacho's father is the leading shaman among the Tarahumaras in the area. He put a curse on the missionaries when they were moving into the area.

Nacho had been taught those dark arts all of his life. But when he heard God's Word from the missionaries he trusted in Christ. Now he is experiencing the power of the Holy Spirit in his life.

The missionaries are praising God for Nacho's light that shines through the darkness among the Tarahumaras.

Pray for him to continue to stand strong for the Lord in the face of persecution. Pray also that the others who have heard the Word will decide to stand for Jesus.
