After an exciting experience with a Diamondback rattlesnake on our back porch Friday afternoon and 4 a.m. fishing trip on Saturday, David and Caleb were ready to embark on a survival trip Sunday afternoon.
Did it matter that there was a hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico, a stiff wind, and a 60% chance of rain? ...Only a little. A guy has to learn to survive doesn't he?
Other than being the "chef's special" at the local bug hangout, I think we survived fairly well and were able to practice some valuable skills.
