A tornado watch has been issued for our area of Central Florida this morning as Tropical Storm Fay approaches.
For much of the USA, the expectation of more than 3 inches of rain in the next 24 hours would be accompanied with a flood warning for low lying areas. But what do you do when all of Florida is a "low lying area?"
Fortunately our house is on a sand dune so flooding is not a problem at home, but streets and roads are already flooding far ahead of the main storm. The older kids and I have a 15 mile drive home from the office and school later today.
