Analyzing Savannah`s improvement since surgery. |

Yesterday we took Savannah to a follow-up appointment from the surgery she had last August. Many of you, who are subscribers to our updates, were aware of this trip and were praying. Thank you for your intersession! The trip was uneventful - with the possible exception of a fit over not getting a stuffed animal back that was thrown in anger - but that hardly registers as an "event" when you have a 3 year old. The events that we are more concerned about are things that compromise our ability to make it to and from the appointment - such as overheating, loss of air-conditioning or flat tires - events which have all happened on other trips. Although Savannah's legs are still very bowed, they do show measurable improvement. Each knee has moved nearly a centimeter closer to being straight. She still has two centimeters to go on her left leg and three on her right. At this rate - it will take another 1-2 years before the "eight-plates" can be removed. We see this procedure as being a great blessing to Savannah as she has complete movement of her legs and no restrictions. She also does not have any of the pain and sores associated with external braces. Thank you for your prayers on her behalf. Related Articles:
