Pray for Anthony and Jennie as they build relationships with the Yao people. |

Awubi’s mother was working in the fields and did not return until 5 days into the young boy's illness. He had diarrhea and had been vomiting. By the time NTM missionaries Anthony and Jennie Chee saw him, he had been reduced to skin and bones. Anthony and Jennie strongly encouraged his mother and grandmother to take him to the hospital ...but they did not. The next day they saw him again and his eyes were yellow and rolling backward. They pleaded with the mother to let them take him to the hospital. But it was too late. Awubi died. It was a death that could have been avoided. Why did the mother and grandmother not want to take Awubi to the hospital? Anthony and Jennie do not yet know enough of the culture and language to find out. While we celebrate the birth of a little Hebrew boy many years ago, we are grateful for his death that was necessary for us to be rightly-related to God. Thank you for your partnership in helping us reach tribal people like the Yao through your prayer or financial support. NTM websites raise the awareness of unreached people, direct Christ-followers to ways they can become involved, and help ministry partners stay informed. Thousands of people visit the sites each day and well over a million US dollars are donated online each year to NTM missionaries and projects. For current prayer requests, visit our PRAY page >> |
