WHO ARE THE KICKAPOO?

November 29, 2007

by David Abbott

Remember hearing the name "Kickapoo" in connection with North American Indian tribes as a kid?

The last time I saw that name, it appeared in one of the first books of Louis L'Amour's Sackett series. A wounded warrior was found near their fort and after being nursed back to health, became a trusted friend. The book portrayed the Kickapoo as a wandering, very individualistic people.

When I heard that NTM was considering sending missionaries to this tribal group, it caught my attention.

Find out what happened to the Kickapoo >>
