BRIDGING THE TECHNOLOGY GAP

David meeting with other members of the NTM Communications web team.

David meeting with other members of the NTM Communications web team.

October 22, 2007

by David Abbott

The NTM Communications team is bridging the technology gap between missions and our culture.   One of the ways this is happening is through the tools being provided for Christ followers to connect with the missionaries who are going to unreached people groups.

In Jennifer Harris' article, "Same story, new language," she writes, "Many scholars believe the church must bridge a divide before it can minister effectively in today’s world.

"In a rapidly changing environment, they insist the church still speaks the language of pen and paper while the culture around it communicates using technological advances."

If you are interested in Andy's explanation of tools our team provides, start about two thirds of the way down the article where it says, "YouTube, a website that allows people to view and share videos..."
