A GLIMPSE OF HEAVEN ...THRU EMAIL?

The Yagaria people are thrilled have the Word of God in their own language.

The Yagaria people are thrilled have the Word of God in their own language.

August 17, 2007

by David Abbott

As one who is "lucky" enough to receive as many as 100 - 200 messages a day - email can conjure up an image diametrically opposed to heaven.

With a reverse spin on Murphy's Law one could say,  "If you get enough email, eventually you will get one you really want."

That happened to me this week.

A Yagaria tribal man in Papua New Guinea wrote thanking me for sending an article to the Explore PNG subscription list.  The article featured the Yagaria Bible Dedication and Bara was the master of ceremonies for the event.

It is not very common to have a member of a recently unreached people group be a subscriber to an NTM email list, but obviously it does happen.

Just think about it.  - Heaven is going to be like that.  You are going to finally meet all the people you helped bring into God's family ...including Bara.
