Savannah Rose was born October 17th, 2004 and has been part of our family since May of 2005.
On Monday, April 30th, 2007 we are excited to announce that we will officially adopt Savannah into our family.
We will go before a judge where Savannah's past will legally be erased. Her original birth certificate will be sealed and a new one will be issued - one containing only her new name and those of her new parents. Us!
It is a powerful picture of what Jesus Christ has done for us:
"...He predestined us to be adopted as His sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with His pleasure and will...
"...In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins...
" ...Having believed, you were marked in Him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance..."
- Ephesians 1:5-14 NIV
Thank you for all your prayers and encouragement through this foster care and adoption process. Our prayer has been that God would give us a foster baby who really needed us.
Savannah was clearly that baby. Her eyes were so hopeless. When hurt she would show little or no emotion. She didn't even want to be cuddled.
While her emotions have largely healed and her mind is as sharp as a whip, she has some physical challenges ahead that will require strong support.
Please continue to pray for Savannah and the rest of our family as we raise her to know her Creator and to place her faith in Him.
