Beginning April 1, the transaction fees for credit card donations will be charged to the ministry accounts of the missionaries who receive the donations.
For each credit card donation, either online or by phone, credit card companies charge a fee of roughly 3 percent of the donation. New Tribes Mission has been evaluating how to handle those fees during the initial two years in which NTM has accepted credit card donations.
Since this is a cost directly related to the ministries of those who receive these donations, the USA Executive Board has agreed to pass each fee on to their ministry accounts.
Donors will continue to receive receipts for the full amount of their donations.
If you prefer to give so that fees are not passed on to the missionary and it does not cost New Tribes Mission valuable man-hours processing checks, setting up an Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) is the most efficient route to take.
