Thank-you for praying about my passport renewal. I was told that it would take 2 weeks to get it back. I mailed out my renewal request on Aug 2nd, and my new passport was in the mailbox today (Aug 9), after getting home from a week of camp late lastnight!!! It looks like it was delivered on the 6th! How's that for quick results? :-)
Please continue to pray: I now need to get the passport scanned and emailed over to Indonesia ASAP. I am still confident that God's timing is best, and whether or not I am able to leave in November is in His hands.
One major hurdle (humanly speaking) for leaving in November is that my support level has not changed. I can only trust God to raise it in His way and His time, if going overseas is truly what He has for me.
Camp went really well. The kids had many opportunities to hear about the Lord. Some of the kids come from pretty rough backgrounds, and it was encouraging to watch the staff interact with them and take the time to talk to those wanting to discuss "life" issues. I really enjoyed getting to know the camp staff, and meeting the missionaries of the week, a couple with Pioneers, who are heading to Croatia. I spent alot of time running after my nieces, and helping care for them while my sister and bro-in-law took care of their respective camp responsibilities. Afton, the baby, was sick for most of camp, and Connor ended up going to the ER one morning, after being under the weather one night.
The plan is to get some much needed rest this coming week, before sharing at a local church on Aug. 17 (Indonesia's Independence Day). Thank-you for your prayers on my behalf!!
