My road trip out West has come and gone. I arrived home lastnight, around 10:15 pm. Thank-you for praying for the trip - God faithfully watched over me, and the car ran great. My only complaint was the fact that the air-conditioner didn't work, but even that I survived. :-) During the stretch of road between Salt Lake City and Carson City, I had to continually remind myself that I can do ALL things through Christ, Who strengthens me, and that includes driving through hot desert without AC! 5811 miles worth of driving without AC, to be exact. WHEW!! It CAN be done!
THANK-YOU to each one of you who opened your homes to me! I very much enjoyed seeing you all, and sharing my plans with you, face to face, as well as catching up on your lives.
Speaking of plans, on Wednesday I received an email from Indonesia, informing me that there has been a glitch in my paperwork process. My current passport is only good through Sept. 2009, so I am needing to get it renewed ASAP. Depending on how quickly I can get the new passport back and the information sent over to Indonesia, I may end up not being able to go in November, as originally planned. I am confident that God's timing is best, so I'm not too worried about this. However, I would appreciate your prayers, as this is an unexpected expense right now, and makes things interesting. Today I mailed in the passport renewal form , and am having them expedite it, which means it should take 2 weeks to get it, instead of the normal 4 weeks.
On Sunday I take off again, for a week of camp in Wisconsin with my sister and her family. Pray that it will be a profitable time for the kids who attend, as they learn about the Lord. I'd appreciate prayer for stamina, for myself, as I am feeling rather worn out, from my trip.
