Sharon and I were raised on the mission field. Sharon's parents, David & Lyda Rutt, served with SIM in Nigeria for many years in mission aviation. My parents, Elmer & Jean Rabe, were the first missionaries with New Tribes Mission in Senegal.

We have served with NTM Senegal since 1983, first in MK Care and Education and then later in field leadership. Jen was 1 when we first arrived in Senegal. Now she has finished 2 years of Bible School and is working fulltime. Carrie is finishing up an associates degree in Early Childhood Education. That leaves Shelly, a high school senior, and Nicole, a 3rd grader, at home with us.
