"Your righteousness is like the great mountains; Your judgements are a great deep; O Lord, You preserve man and beast."

THE GOSPEL IS PROGRESSING IN BOLIVIA

The Simba team is checking the translation of the New Testament.

March 14, 2008

by Dena McMaster

Exciting things are happening among tribal groups in Bolivia.
The recent Chimane Bible course was attended by 226 people and two new Chimane church elders were appointed at that time.

Missionaries Dan and Judy Burke hope to finish a commentary they are writing for Chimane believers by June. The Chimane radio station founded by missionaries Bruce and Jan Johnson has been turned over to Chimane leaders and continues to reach remote villages with the Gospel message.

Missionaries Mike and Cher Riepma are visiting remote Esa Ejja villages to distribute the printed New Testament and encourage the believers.

Bernie Murrin is traveling to various Quechua communities each week and discipling the leaders of the churches. Jack Russell and Bill Mann are translating on the New Testament into the Simba language. They are also discipling and encouraging the Simba church leaders.

Pray for the safety and stamina for the missionaries traveling to remote areas to encourage and disciple tribal believers. Pray for the established tribal churches to grow in their knowledge of the Lord.
