Missionaries Bruce and Jan Johnson, through the Chimane radio station, impact many people throughout Bolivia.
One Chimane man traveled two days to see those whose voices he hears on the radio, and to share his testimony with the missionaries.
"He said he had a radio, heard about the talk that was in his own language and began to listen," wrote the Johnsons. "Before long he realized the Lord was speaking to his heart about his need for a Savior. He testifies the messages became clear to him that he needed a personal relationship with Jesus. … He had a very clear understanding of what he needed to do to get right with God and have peace in his soul."
The Johnsons will be adding newly written lessons in Acts after they finish their series on Ephesians. These new studies will be aired some time next year.
They have also been helping some Trinitario missionaries record much of their study material. "At present we have a 72-year-old Trinitario elder here who is a very good reader and teacher in his language. His tribe is nearly 8,000 people [and] this will be the first time many will hear these programs in their language," the Johnsons wrote.
Praise God that so many have been reached by the simple means of a radio. Pray that the station will continue to have dramatic impact on the people of Bolivia.
