The team of missionaries who work in the Chimane tribe of Bolivia recently met with tribal church leaders to plan a series of goals for their future ministry together.
One of their primary goals was to train the three men who are currently helping in the radio ministry to run the radio station completely on their own. Adrian, Rosauro and Sandario are now doing just that.
The missionaries and church leaders were also able to go over all of the materials that have been recorded for broadcasting. So far, there are more than 700 hours of evangelistic Bible lessons recorded in the Chimane language.
"This last week, after a six-week literacy course, 13 Chimane believers desired to follow the Lord in baptism," wrote missionary Bruce Johnson.
After these 13 Chimane believers return to their home villages, their only Bible teaching will be from the Chimane radio station. Each day the station broadcasts three hours of Bible lessons.
Pray for the work that God is doing among the Chimane. Pray that the missionaries and tribal church leaders will continue to edify each other and minister effectively together. And pray for the newly baptized believers to grow in their walk with the Lord as they live out their faith daily.
