Missionaries Ron and Heather Yearwood, who are involved in many areas of tribal church planting, now have an additional ministry. Several Tanda villages in Guinea are sending young men to live near the missionaries and the Tanda believers so they can hear God's Word.
Four believers set off on bicycles to begin transporting the young men who want to live in the village and hear about Christ.
"Pray for the safety in travel," Ron wrote. "Part of the trip they will be in canoes and this time of the year can be unpredictable with storms."
Teaching these young men is a major undertaking for the Tanda believers.
Ron is translating the book of Acts and getting ready for a check by one of the missionaries skilled in translation, whose primary ministry is to help translators accurately put God's Word into the tribal languages.
Ron and Heather are excited that the clinic they are building to meet the medical needs of the Tanda people is nearing completion. Missionaries with Friends in Action, UK, came and helped install the power and water. The Yearwoods are praising the Lord for a couple from Canada, Yves and Cheryl Girard, who have dedicated a year of their lives to assist at the clinic.
Pray for Ron and Heather as they minister among the Tanda people. Pray also for the young men who will be moving to the village to hear about Jesus. Pray for Yves and Cheryl as they help in the clinic for the next year.
